I am Francios Kennedy, a native Houstonian. I graduated from Prairie View A & M University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree. I currently hold certifications in Secondary Mathematics 6-12, Elementary Education 1-8, and Sociology 6-12. Before I came to Brazos School, I had 36 years combined experience teaching at North Forest ISD for 5 years, Houston ISD for 31 years, and one year teaching Adult Education (GED) at San Jacinto College. My  achievements and accomplishments: Gregory- Lincoln Teacher of the Year 2008 & 2012. Won third place as Outstanding Math Teacher for Houston Independent School District 1989.
Previously, I was the Math Interventionist for 3rd-6th grade.I provided small group instruction for those students who were struggling in the area of mathematics. At the present, I teach 4-6 grade mathematics. I prepare my students not only to become great problem solvers,  but I also prepare them with strategies that they will be able use in real life situations.
My philosophy of education is to ensure that students will learn, grow, and achieve their goals by providing them with the essential tools, resources, and authentic educational experiences. I strongly believe that it is our responsibility as educators to ensure that our students reach their highest potentials regardless of their status and beliefs in life.
To ensure that our goals are met, I will continue to provide you with academic resources for distance learning and aids to implement at home. If you have any questions feel free to contact me by email or by phone.
