About Us
Democratic Schools Research, Inc., DBA as Brazos School for Inquiry & Creativity (BSIC) was founded in July, 1998 in the State of Texas. It was approved that year by Texas Education Agency as a free, open-enrollment charter school and has been continuously accredited since then.
We strive to meet the individual needs of each student through assessment, individualized educational plans, parental involvement, teacher collaboration and small group instruction.
BSIC is approved to serve 500 students, PR-K through the 8th Grade. Currently, two campuses are actively serving students at 410 Bethel Lane, Bryan, Texas and at 1055 West Tidwell Road, Houston, Texas. The District Office is housed in Building 200 at 410 Bethel Lane, Bryan, Texas.
Each campus incorporates extensive use of Technology such as web-based instruction and on-site licenses for high quality, interactive learning. Teachers meet highly qualified standards for the State of Texas and Federal educational programs. Ongoing in-service provides teachers with technological skills, classroom management skills and proven methods of teaching.
Brazos School for Inquiry and Creativity is governed by the present Board Members: Lynda Marino, Chair; Robert Horton, Secretary; and Susan Lee, Member.
